On Submitting Essays to INTERNATIONAL ZEN STUDIES

　　　　This project publishes the research journal INTERNATIONAL ZEN STUDIES twice yearly. We are looking widely for essays to be included in its pages. Submission guidelines are as below. We look forward to your submission.


Submission guidelines

Contents:
Items related to the Chan/Zen school and which are of high academic value. (Decision on publication made following peer review).


Languages used:
Japanese, English, Chinese. (In the case of English and Chinese, items are published alongside a Japanese translation).


Length:
Japanese: under 20,000 characters; English: under 11,000 words; Chinese: under 14,000 characters.


Submission deadline:
By October 31st of each year (items submitted after the deadline will be considered for the following issue).
