Let's take a closer look at the different points that make up this speech.

"Hello and welcome to another edition of Gourmet Club. I am your host Jeff. If you like chewy chocolate chip cookies, I have the recipe for you. Don't worry it is a snap. 15 to make them and 15 to bake them.

Before you get started, check your cupboards and make sure that you have the needed ingredients. Of course, you will need chocolate chips, flour, eggs, and butter.

Once you have everything ready, preheat your oven to 375 F. Second, combine 31/4 cups of flour, a cup of cake flour, one teaspoon of baking powder and one teaspoon of baking soda in a mixing bowl. Third, mix 11/2 cups of melted butter with a cup of white sugar and a cup of brown sugar in a large mixing bowl. Then beat with an electric mixer until creamy. Next you need to add 2 large eggs and one teaspoon of vanilla extract. Beat again until well mixed. After that gradually add the flour mixture and then stir in 2 cups of chocolate chips. Finally, divide the dough into small ball-shaped proportions and put them an inch apart on greased baking sheets. Bake for 10 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Afterwards, cool them on baking sheets for 3 minutes; then move them to wire racks to cool completely.

These delicious cookies are best served with a nice cold glass of milk. If you have any left over, keep them in a air-tight container to keep them fresh. This recipe makes just over two dozen cookies."

The secret to giving good directions is using connector words. Here you can see lots of examples that tell the audience what they have to do and more importantly when!
