Let's take a closer look at the different points that make up this speech.

Right here is a quick explanation of the 3 topics that make up the speech.

"Welcome to Around Town. I'm your host Vivian Moore. More than a million people from all over the world come to Hawaii seeking sun and fun. And they find it in Waikiki. First we'll visit three well known resort hotels. Then we'll get a surfing lesson. And finally we will check out what the stores have to offer.

The Sheraton hotel is definitely the place to stay if you want to be right on the beach. At night you can hear the waves crash against the shore of Waikiki Beach. Rooms at the Sheraton start at 250 dollars per night. If you are looking for something more reasonable you might want to check out the Hyatt hotel across the street. You can still see the beach from the Hyatt hotel, but without the big price tag. If being right on the shore line is not so important, you might be interested in the Pacific Beach Hotel. It is a block off the beach, but is still really convenient to everything. There are lots of shops and restaurants around the Pacific Beach hotel.

If this is your first time to Hawaii, taking a surfing lesson is a must! Right on Waikiki Beach there is Honolua Bay School of Surfing. The owner, Peter Jones, has been teaching people how to enjoy the surf for 25 years. Private lessons are 50 dollars an hour and group lessons of two or more people are 80 dollars an hour. Your surfboard rental is included in the price. Lessons start at 7 am and continue to sunset. But, it is best to make a reservation by calling him at 555-2121.

After a day in the sun, the evenings are a perfect time for shopping. Waikiki is packed full stores. It is a shopper's paradise. If you are looking for Hawaiian souvenirs, the ABC store is the place for you. Plus, it is so easy to find. Kalakaua Avenue has one on almost every block. You can get your chocolate macadamia nuts along with anything else you might need. Don't forget your sun screen. People interested sporting goods should visit King's Village on Koa Avenue. There are a number of shops you can pick up good deals on scuba gear, tennis rackets and of course surf boards. All the things you need to enjoy your Hawaiian holiday.

So as you can see there are lots of things to see and do in beautiful Waikiki."
